SIRAJGANJ: Unidentified assailants stabbed a local leader of Jubo League to death in Sirajganj municipality town early Wednesday (Oct 3). 

The incident happened in Ranigram Bazar area of the town, around 9am.

Golam Mostofa alias Boma Mostofa, 45, the deceased, was the president of Jubo League’s ward.7 unit. 

Sirajganj Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Daud told Banglanews that Mostofa was sitting in front of a shop in Raniganj Bazar, in the morning.

A group of youth stabbed him indiscriminately from behind and fled the scene.

Locals rescued Mostofa and took him to Sirajganj Sadar Hospital where the on-duty physician pronounced him dead, added the OC.
