RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-5 personnel detained two persons, including the Shibir president of Binodpur, from the area adjacent to Rajshahi University earlier Thursday.

The detainees are Golam Mawla, Shibir president of Binodpur area, and Delwar Hossain, son of the tenant of Golam Mawla.

Media officer of RAB-5 Khaleda Akhter said journalists on Thursday noon, “Acting on tip off, RAB, in a drive, arrested two persons from Mondoler Mor of Binodpur area.”

She also said: “RAB is quizzing them for their alleged connection in destructive activities and attacking police.”

After quizzing, they will be sent to the court, she added.
