JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY:  Jatyatabadi Chhatra Dal, Jahangirnagar University unit, activists vandalized the car of University Vice-Chancellor Professor M Anwar Hossain on Sunday.  

The incident took place around 2.00pm while VC was on visit at Enam Medical College Hospital to know about treatment of ailing JCD leader Abdur Rahim Saikat assaulted by Chhatra League cadres.

Witnesses said JCD activists confined JU VC at Enam Medical College gate for 20 minutes when he came out after visiting Saikat and later, they vandalized the car.

Vice President of JCD, JU branch Obaidullah Shuvo however, denied the allegation of the vandalism.   

Assistant Proctor of the university Kazi Saiful Islam said the issue would be placed at a disciplinary committee at night to take an immediate administrative action.
