DHAKA: Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said cattle markets ahead of the Eid-ul-Azha may put people at health risk increasing the number of coronavirus infection.
He said “Authorities should make a proper guideline for cattle markets for the safety of the people.”
Obaidul Quader, the road transport and bridges minister, madet he remarks in a press briefing from his Dhaka residence on Wednesday (July 1).
If necessary, the number of cattle markets should be reduced, he suggested.
Cattle markets would not be allowed in and around the highways across the country, amid the Covid-19 pandemic, Quader added.
