3 more die of coronavirus, 35 more infected in Bangladesh: IEDCR

DHAKA: Bangladesh has confirmed three more deaths from coronavirus disease in the last 24 hours climbing the death toll to 12, said the Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control And Research (IEDCR) on Monday (April 6). 

Besides, 35 more people have tested positive, raising the total number of coronavirus cases in Bangladesh to 123, the IEDCR added.

Dr Meerjady Sabrina Flora, the director of Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR), disclosed the latest figure at a press briefing through online from their Dhaka office on Monday afternoon.

Besides, the death toll from the coronavirus or COVID-19 has crossed 69,000 globally as of Monday afternoon.

Coronavirus has so far infected more than 12.74 lakh people around the world, according to worldometer.
