No new coronavirus case in last 48 hrs: IEDCR

DHAKA: The Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) on Sunday (March 29) said none was found infected with the coronavirus in last 48 hours in Bangladesh.

The IEDCR so far reported the total 48 confirmed cases in the country while 15 Covid-19 patients have already recovered.

Director of the IEDCR Prof Meerjady Sabrina Flora was briefing media through online on Sunday.

According to her, no patient died after March 25.

Besides, Bangladesh so far reported five deaths from coronavrius. Currently, 28 patients are undergoing treatment.

The death toll from the coronavirus or COVID-19 has crossed 30,000 globally as of Sunday.

Coronavirus has so far infected about 6.6 lakh people around the world, according to worldometer.
