MYMENSINGH: A bus ran over an auto-rickshaw, thereby killing four of its passengers in Gouripur upazila of Mymensingh on Wednesday (January 29).
The deceased were identified as auto-rickshaw driver Rafiqul Islam, 55, hailing from Sutirpara area in Mymensingh, Sahara Khatun, 62, from Ujan Kashiarchar area of Gouripur upazila, Lal Mia, 50 and his mother Rabiya Khatun, 75.
Rafiqul Islam, Sahara Khatun and Rabia Khatun died after being taken to the hospital, Joynal Abedin, Sub-Officer of Ishwarganj Fire Service told Banglanews.
Borhan Uddin, officer-in-charge of Gouripur Police station told Banglanews that they had restored vehicular movement to normal.
Three injured of the accident were sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
