DHAKA: An activist of United People's Democratic Front (UPDF) has been shot dead allegedly by his rivals at Nariarchar of Rangamati on Wednesday (Dec 04) morning.

The deceased was identified as Giri Chakma.

Nariarchar Police Station Officer-in Charge (OC) Md. Kabir Hossain said on information, their team rushed to the spot to recover the body. 

Details of the incident would be known later, he added.
