CHATTOGRAM: Three alleged robbers were killed in a reported gunfight with members of Rapid Action Batalion (RAB) in Sitakunda upazila early on Tuesday (Oct 29). 

Through Rab claimed that three deceased were inter-district robbers but could not identify them.

Squadron Leader Shafayat Jamil Fahim, the deputy commander of RAB-7, confirmed that three people were killed in the 'gun battle' with the elite force.

RAB-7 Assistant Director (Media) said in a SMS that the gunfight occurred between inter-district robbers and the patrol team of RAB in the Chhota Kumira area of the upazila early in the morning.

Later, three bullet-riddled bodies, two firearms with a foreign pistol, 12 rounds bullets and two sharp weapons were recovered from the scene.
