NAOGAON: Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder said there is no scarcity of relief materials in proportion to the need of flood-stricken people.

Sadhan Chandra Majumder said: “Officials of local administration have been ordered to ensure food for every human being at each meal time in each flood-hit area.”

The minister said this when he was inspecting a dam in Sapahar upazila of the district on Saturday (July 20).

As per the directives of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, control rooms have been set up in various places under the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief and Ministry of Food. 

Adequate relief materials are being sent to flood-hit areas as quickly as possible. All necessary arrangement has been made to rehabilitate the victims at post-flood time.
