GAZIPUR: At least three people were killed in a road accident on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in Masterbari area on Monday (July 15) morning.

The identity of the deceased couldn’t be known immediately. But initially it is thought that the victims are the pickup van driver and helper.

Md. Imtiazur Rahman, Sub-Inspector (SI)of Sadar Police Station in Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP, told Banglanews that a Mymensingh-bound pickup van hit a stationed covered van from behind in front of Niribili Hotel in Masterbari area around 7:45am, leaving the three people dead at the spot.

On information, police rushed to the spot and sent the bodies to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Hospital for autopsy, he added.
