Wild elephant kills elderly man in Cox’s Bazar

COX’S BAZAR: An elderly man died after being attacked by a wild elephant in Ramu of the district on Tuesday night (June 25).

The incident happened at Razarkul Sagliakata village.

According to Nurul kabir, son of the deceased, a flock of wild elephants were eating jackfruit at their residence when it was mid night. His father went out to drive them away, but came under attack and died. Later, locals rescued the body.

Forest officer of Razarkul range Tawhidul Islam confirmed the matter to Banglanews.
