DHAKA: Mentioning religions which are distinct, but festivals are meant for all, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said all citizens living on Bangladesh’s soil have the privilege to practice their respective religions with dignity.
The premier was exchanging greetings with Buddhist community on the occasion of Buddha Purnima at her official residence-Ganobhaban on Monday (May 20).
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, "Everyone is entitled to practice their respective religions with sincerity and independently. That’s what we want."
The prime minister shared various success stories, steps of her government to ensure peace, dignity for observance of all religions while speaking to the community.
She said all religions speak of peace. Everyone can celebrate the festival no matter of which religion.
