DHAKA: Journalist and also Bhawaiya singer Shafiul Alam Raza passed away in Pallabi area of the capital city on Sunday (Mar 17) afternoon.
Raza, the director of Kalatan, a music school in Pallabi, was found dead at a room of the school.
Being informed from locals, police broke open the door of the house and recovered his body, said Imranul Islam, officer-in-charge of Pallabi Police Station.
Raza was the permanent member of Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU). He was also cultural affairs editor of DRU. He was former chief reporter of Bangla online news portal Priyo.com.
His colleagues said he might die because of a heart attack
Hailed from Chilmari upazila of Kurigram, he was also worked at Bangla daily newspapers Jugantor, Janakantha and Dainik Orthoniti.
