DHAKA: Bishwa Ijtema of Tablig Jamaat will be held on the bank of Turag River in Tongi on February 15-17.

Though the Ijtema, the second largest religious gathering of Muslims in the world, is held in two phases since 2011 to ease the accommodation, this year it will be held in single phase.

The decision came from a meeting held at ministry of religion affairs on Thursday (Jan 24).

After the meeting, state minister for ministry of religion affairs Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah said the factions of Tablig Jamaat gave consent to hold the congregation at the same venue jointly.
