COMILLA: Three persons were killed and at least 12 others injured as a bus fell into a roadside ditch on Dhaka-Chattogram Highway in Daudkandi upazila Saturday (Jan 19).

The deceased—a male and two female—couldn’t be identified immediately.

The accident happened around 2:45pm.

A bus of ‘Ma-er Doa Paribahan’ fell into a ditch after running over a woman pedestrian near Gouripur Bus stand, said Daudkandi Highway Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abul Kalam Azad.

Two passengers of the bus died on the spot and 12 others sustained injuries, he added.
