DHAKA:  The Ruling Awami League pledged, in its election manifesto unveiled on Tuesday (December 18), to transform each village into a town with availability of city amenities if they are voted to power.

Sheikh Hasina said, “We, if voted to power, will undertake programs and implement them to upgrade each village to a town providing with city facilities.

Two points were given much emphasis: one is: ‘my village-my town,’ and another is ‘strength of youth-prosperity of Bangladesh.’

Awami League President Sheikh Hasina was reading out her 21-point manifesto for the 11th parliamentary election slated for December 30.
