CUMILLA: Two siblings were crushed under the wheels of a truck drove by their ill-fated father on Dhaka-Chittagong Highway in Kotbari area on Monday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Jihad, 8, and Siam, 5, sons of Nazil Uddin of Shariyatpur district.

The accident took place around 2:00pm when Nazim was heading toward Chittagong with his wife and two sons, said Mahbubur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Mynamoti Highway Police. 

When the truck reached Kotbari area, it skidded and turned around and the two siblings fell on the highway and crushed under the wheels of the truck and their mother also suffered injuries, the OC added.
