GAZIPUR: The driver of a pickup van was killed after hitting a covered-van on Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway in Gazipur sadar upazila early Tuesday (Nov 20). 

The deceased was identified as Sohag, 28, a resident of Sreepur upazila.

Leaving Dhaka, Sohag was on way to Gazipur, carrying hens in the pick-up.

He died on the spot after hitting a covered-van in Baniarchar area.

Maona Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Delwar Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Police recovered the body and handed over to the deceased’s family.
