PATUAKHALI: Two minor girls died from eating insect repellent tablets in Rangabali upazila of Patuakhali Friday (Nov 16) night.

The incident happened in Charbarret village under Charmontaz union.

The deceased were identified as—one Mohsin’s daughter Shova and one Bipul’s daughter Rozina.

Both of the deceased were aged 11 and students of class-VI at Charmontaz Siddikia Dakhil Madrasha. 

Local sources said the girls died from eating rice insect repelling tablets, together around 9 at the night.  

Rangabali Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Minal Krishna Mitra confirmed the matter to banglanews.
