DHAKA: Durga Puja, the biggest religious festival of the Hindu community, ended on Friday (October 19) with the immersion of Goddess Durga idols across the country.
Beginning on October 15, the 5-day-long Durga Puja comes to an end as devotees celebrated Bijoya Dashami, the last day of the festival, at the Puja mandaps across the country.
Devotees with tears on their eyes bade farewell to the mother deity by immersing of their idols in the water while wishing Durga's return next year.
Strict security measures were observed in the country for peaceful celebration of Durga Puja.
