BGB detains 5 Bangladeshis at Benapole border

BENAPOLE (JESSORE):  Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) detained 5 Bangladeshi men and women at Benapole border on charge of attempted illegal border crossing on Friday (October 19).

However, members of BGB Battalion-21 could not detain any human traffickers from Daulatpur border area in Benapole as they launched drive at 11 am.

The detainees are-Rahela Begum, 22, Titu, 28, Rafiqul Islam, 40, Liton, 23 and a child Suhaghi, 3. They are from different areas of Narail, Madaripur and Barisal districts.

Confirming the matter to Banglanews, BGB Putkhali company commander Subedar Munshi Lablu Rahman said the detainees were sent to Benapole Port Police station after filing a case.
