DHAKA:   Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Director General (DG) Benazir Ahmed urged people not to be misguided by provocation of evil forces.

The RAB DG came up with the plea ahead of Durga Puja after visiting mandaps (makeshift temples) in city’s Banani area on Monday (October 15).

The Durga Puja celebration, largest religious festival of the Hindu Community, has begun across the country from Monday (October 15) amid tight security.

Mentioning RAB’s special drive on a daily basis to seize illegal weapons ahead of 11th parliamentary election, Benazir Ahmed said RAB is more active for the upcoming election.

“We, however, do not limit our drive to a special day or a week; rather we take action throughout the year to seize illegal arms,” DG said.
