Separate road accidents kill 3 in Dhaka

DHAKA: Three persons were killed in separate road accidents in the capital on Monday (October 15).

“Two businessmen, identified as Rajjak, 46, his friend Zahidur Rahman Dudu, 42, met with a road accident in front of Chatbari Water Development Board while riding a motorbike,” according to Azizul Haque, Sub Inspector (SI) of Rupnagar Police Station.

“Afterwards, two of them were rescued to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College & Hospital (SSMCH) where doctors pronounced them dead. Bodies were kept in hospital’s morgue,” SI said.

Confirming the matter, Sub Inspector (SI) of Banani Police Station Md Shahin Alam told Banglanews: “An unidentified youth, 27, was killed in a road accident in front of Army Stadium at dawn.”

“The deceased had jeans trousers and checked shirt on. He was declared dead at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) around 8 am. Body was preserved in hospital’s morgue. Prima facie, the death could be blamed for a hit by a vehicle,” SI added.
