DHAKA: An employee of private television channel Ekattor TV was killed as a bus crushed the motorbike he rode in city’s Mohakhali area on Saturday (Sep 29).

The deceased, identified as Anwar Hossain, was an executive official of marketing and sales department of the channel.

Karful police station officer-in-charge (OC) Shiqdar Mohammad Shamim told Banglanews that the driver of VIP paribahan bus lost control over steering and first hit a CNG-driven auto-rickshaw and then crushed the motorbike that Anwar rode. An auto-rickshaw passenger and Anwar were injured and taken Kurmitola general hospital where he died later in the day.

However, identity of the injured man could not be known. Police seized the bus and detained driver Sujan following the accident, the OC added.
