BRAHMANBARIA: Chittagong-Sylhet rail communication with Dhaka has been suspended following derailment of a freight train at Kasba upazila of the district. 

The accident occurred at Imambari area of Kasba upazila at noon on Friday (September 21).

“Train’s engine and a bogie derailed. Rescue operation could last up to evening,” said, Shayamol Kanti Das, officer-in-charge (OC) of Akhaura Railway Police Station.
