KHULNA: A local leader of Swechchhasebak League died of dengue fever at Khulna Medical College and Hospital (KMCH) on Sunday night.

The deceased identified as Al Mamun, son of late Daud Molla, was president of Shuktail Union unit of Swechchhasebak League.

Mohsin Uddin Sikdar, president of Gopalganj Sadar Upazila Swechchhasebak League, said Al Mamun had been suffering from the fever for a week. He was admitted to the KMCH on Sunday evening after his health condition had deteriorated.

Mamun later breathed his last at around 11pm, he added.
