DHAKA: The top leaders of Jatiya Oikyafront are holding meeting with Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal in the secretariat on Monday (October 21) afternoon.

An eight-member delegation of Oikyafront, led by Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) President ASM Abdur Rab, has reached the Secretariat around 3:30 pm to meet the Home Minister.

Sources said that the Oikyafront leaders met the home boss at his office under the leadership of JSD President ASM Rob. Dr. Reza Kibria, Dr. Jafarullah Chowdhury, Professor Nurul Alam Bepari, Shahid Uddin Mahmud Swapan were among others present at the time. 

The leaders can talk about the permission to meet with BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia, who is undergoing treatment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU).

The government has yet to give permission for holding rally by Oikyafront on Tuesday's (Oct 22). They may talk to the Home Minister about that rally.

A pre-announced rally of Oikyafront is expected to be held at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital on Tuesday, demanding justice for the murder of BUET student Abrar Fahad. 

Earlier, the leaders of the Oikyafront announced that the alliance would hold rally even if the government did not give permission.
