DHAKA: Bangladesh has confirmed total 746 deaths from coronavirus (Covid-19) as 37 more people died in the last 24 hours, said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Wednesday (June 3). 

Besides, 2,695 people tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours raising the total number of coronavirus cases in the country to 55,140.

Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, additional director general of DGHS came up with the information in an online regular health bulletin about the latest corona situation in the country.

As 470 patients recovered in last 24 hours, the number of total recovery reached 11,590, she said.

In the last 24 hours, 50 coronavirus testing laboratories across the country tested 12,510 samples, Dr Nasima Sultana added.

Bangladesh reported its first croronaviurs case on March 8 while first death on March 18.
