DHAKA: Nobody will be allowed to leave or enter the capital city until further notice, said the Police Headquarters on Sunday (April 05).

Md Sohel Rana, assistant inspector general (AIG-Media) of the Police Headquarters said other than emergency services, no one would be allowed to enter or leave Dhaka until further notice from the government.

Bangladesh Police has been working to ensure social distancing and stay-at-home rules as per the government directive, he added.

To contain the spread of coronavirus, all types of individual and group movement are prohibited, said AIG Sohel added.

The Bangladesh Police sought cooperation of all concerned and citizens for proper implementation of the government directives during the crisis.

According to the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR), Bangladesh on Sunday has confirmed 9th death from coronavirus disease. 

Besides, 18 more people have tested positive, raising the total number of coronavirus cases in Bangladesh to 88.

A total of 33 coronavirus patients recovered as three of patients have recovered across the country in the last 24 hours.
