MANIKGANJ: Ferry services on the Paturia-Daulatdia route resumed after three hours of suspension as the fog disappeared on Wednesday (Jan 22).

Assistant General Manager of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) at Paturia sector, Khondakar Tanvir Hossain told Banglanews that the ferry services were halted around 5:45 am due to poor visibility caused by thick fog.

Four ferries remained stranded in the middle of the river. More than 200 vehicles were stuck at both sides of the river.

The ferry services resumed around 9:30 am after the visibility improved, Tanvir Hossain added.
