DHAKA: A fire broke out at the Petrobangla (Bangladesh Oil, Gas and Mineral Corporation) headquarter in Kawran Bazar area of Dhaka.

The fire originated at the building around 9:26am on Saturday, Fire Service and Civil Defence control room duty officer Ershad Hossain told Dhaka Tribune.

He said seven firefighting units went to the spot and doused the blaze around 10am.

The reason behind the fire could not be known immediately, he added.
