DHAKA: A team of Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested one of the accused in BUET student Abrar Fahad murder case from Uttara area of the capital on Saturday (October 12).
The arrestee is--- identified as Moaz Abu Hurairah, 20--a 17th batch student of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) Department of the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).
With Moaz’s arrest, DMP’s DB police arrested all the 19 accused in the case.
Abrar Fahad, aged 21, a student of electrical and electronic engineering department at BUET, was tortured to death reportedly by BCL leaders at Sher-e-Bangla Hall of the university on October 7.
He was found dead on the staircase of the dormitory early Monday.
The deceased’s father filed the case with Chawkbazar Police Station.
