TANGAIL: Two people were killed and driver of human hauler injured as a bus rammed a human hauler, locally known as easy bike, in Bhuapur upazila on Sunday afternoon.

One of the deceased was identified as Liakat Ali Khan, 55, son of Abdullah Khan, of Jagatpura village in the upazila.

Sub Inspector of Bhuapur Police Station Md Liton told Banglanews that the accident took place when the speeding bus hit the human hauler near Garabari rice mill area on Bhuapur-Tarakandi road, leaving two passengers of the human hauler dead on the spot.

Shahim Shah, the driver of human hauler, was also injured in the accident, the police official said.

He was undergoing treatment at Tangail General Hospital.
