3-day Asian tourism fair kicks off at ICCB

DHAKA: The three-day 8th Asian Tourism Fair (ATF, Dhaka) kicked off at International Convention City, Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital city of Bangladesh from September 26 to mark World Tourism Day (September 27).

Parjatan Bichitra organized the fair with the assistance of Parjatan Corporation and Tourism Board.

State minister for civil aviation and tourism Mahbub Ali inaugurated the fair at ICCB this noon.

Besides, civil aviation and tourism secretary M Mohibul Hoque, BISTEC Secretary Shahidul Islam, Parjatan Corporation Chairman Ram Chandra Das, tourism board chief executive officer Dr Bhuban Chandra Biswas, Indonesian Ambassador to Dhaka and Kathmandu, Indian Deputy High Commissioner to Dhaka were present as special guests. 

Around 150 exhibitors from 54 countries, including Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, China, Indonesia, Philippines and Thailand have taken part in the fair.

Community based tourism show, seminars, children’s art competition, discussion on tourism include in the fair.

There will be various packages on discounted price and attractive offer including air tickets, cruising, hotel booking and package tours to travel at home and abroad.

The fair will remain open from 10:00am to 8:00pm.
