DHAKA: Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan has launched his own YouTube channel ‘Shakib Khan Official’, in a befitting move with the newer means of amassing entertainment contents.

The channel was inaugurated on Wednesday (March 28) in a gala ceremony at a five star hotel in the city. The channel will run in affiliation with BongoBD, a content platform.

Video clips, songs, trailers, promos, behind the scenes, and all promotional videos of his movies can be seen in the channel. 

The event was moderated by popular YouTuber Asif Bin Azad.

Speaking about the launch of the YouTube channel, Shakib Khan said the digital media is gaining momentum along with cinema halls and TV channels in the entertainment sector, keeping pace with the era. 

“Our films are deprived of facilities due to the lack of proper initiatives and plans. The producers, directors, artists and craftsmen can not reap the money earned from the digital media as they don’t get proper guidance,” he said.

“Interestingly, an artist can get royalty from YouTube throughout the years. The money earned from YouTube can run a family,” Shakib Khan added. 

However, Jaaz Multimedia Chairman Abdul Aziz was present as the special guest. At the end of the function, Shakib cut his birthday cake with vibrant presence of the gusests present there.
