Samsung Z1 now available in Bangladesh

DHAKA: SMART Technologies has brought the Samsung Z1 - first Tizen smartphone – to local markets.

However, the Z1 comes with a 4" WVGA display and runs on a dual-core 1.2GHz Cortex-A7 processor with 768MB RAM, said a press release.

The price has been set as Tk 6,900, the release added.

The smartphone, according to the release, also offers a 3MP rear camera, dual-SIM connectivity with 3G support, FM radio plus a 1,500 mAh battery.

Moreover, Samsung Z1 runs on Tizen OS 2.3 skinned with TouchWiz.



Samsung is also giving away some freebies - you get access to Club Samsung for a year and you will be able to enjoy live TV and free music (including videos) streaming. With the Club Samsung subscription, you also get a three-month access to movie streaming.

On the other hand, SMART Technologies, the Bangladesh distributor, arranged a road show on the occasion of releasing the Z1.

The organization’s general manager (sales) Zafor Ahmed, Samsung Mobile Bangladesh product manager Alamgir Rahman Sagor and the company’s senior product manager Mahfuzur Rahman, among others, were also present at the road show held on January 5.
