‘Bashundhara Group uses latest technology’

DHAKA: Country’s leading business conglomerate Bashundhara Group has great contribution in significant establishments using latest technology.    

Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of Bashundhara Industrial Complex (cement sector) Engineer AKM Mahbub-Uz-Zaman made the remark while addressing Product Training Session, organized by Bashundhara and King Brand Cement at ‘Rajdarshan’ Bashundhara Convention Center on Friday morning.

Some 260 officials of Bashundhara and King Brand Cement participated in the session.

The quality, production process and the materials used in Bashundhara and King Brand Cement will be discussed elaborately in the daylong training workshop.

Engineer AKM Mahbub-Uz-Zaman mentioned that there were many criticisms when King Brand Cement inaugurated fly ash in 1995. However, later on, the critics have acknowledged that the use of fly ash was equitable, he added.

He also said that Bashundhara Group is concerned about its consumers. Ensuring customers’ interest is the first priority for the group. Bashundhara Group is the number one cement manufacturing company in Bangladesh ensuring the best quality, he further said.

Bashundhara Cement has two new-fangled manufacturing factories-- one at Mongla industrial area and another one at Narayanganj.

On the other hand, King Brand Cement has been adding a great contribution from 1995 in the country.

Bashundhara and King Brand Cement factories are able to manufacture some 4.50 million tons cement per year.

Engineer of Bashundhara Group (cement sector) Saroj Kumar Barua, Bashundhara Cement In-charge (Madanganj plant) Engineer AKM Sirajul Haque, General Manager of Sales of Bashundhara Cement Atikuzzaman Khan and Head of Marketing Rashidul Ahsan among others were present in the event.
