Bangladesh 76/7 (Nazmul Hasan Shanto 30, Shakib Al Hasan 23*,Sajid Khan 6/36) 

Over 2 days of the four has been washed out for cyclone Jawad induced rain and inclement weather. For poor lights Pakistani pacers could not bowl. Yet pathetic and spineless Bangladesh batting (76/7) created situation for Bangladesh for life saving drugs infusion for survival. It is very likely that Bangladesh may have to embrace ignominious loss of test and comprehensive series white wash. On a slow turning wicket and swing favoring  overcast condition Pakistan batted bravely posting 300/4 before declaring. Bangladesh playing like novice against Pakistani spinners were struggling at 76/7. They could be batting again if not play was called off an hours early for poor lights. On bright day forecast today 8 December Pakistan pace attack would be unleashing. It looks highly unlikely that Bangladesh can survive. What a tragedy it would be if Bangladesh can not battle out a draw from where the match stands. 

In the past Bangladesh could trap Australia and England in tests in Bangladesh producing low , slow , gripping tracks. But over the past few years Bangladesh lost tests at home against rookie Afghanistan, second string West Indies . It was known to all that Pakistan would play much better on any wicket BCB produces. Yet on a wicket where vaunted Bangladeshi spin attack could do little Bangladeshi batsmen could not survive against known too experienced Pakistani spinners. It was atrocious spineless batting. We do not know how BCB would evaluate Bangladesh performance? They was no plan, no strategy. Bangladesh batsmen were all panicked. We understand Pakistan has fearsome pace attack .But in the afternoon of the 4th day for fading lights pacers were not allowed to bowl except one express Shaheen Afridi over . But two lesser known spinners routed Bangladesh. Sajib took 6/36 and Noman bowled with hearts out. With a little bit of luck going his way could have also got a couple of wicket. Bangladesh showed no application, commitment and skills. A fair and sunny weather is predicted on day five. It would be almost impossible for Bangladesh surviving unless miracle happens.

With only a week left for the closing of golden anniversary of victory a comprehensive series whitewash against Pakistan would be disgusting, disgraceful and demoralizing. Wonder what this team would do in New Zealand?
