Going all round for winning todays match (three on the trot) and wrapping up the series should be the priority today for the team tigers. New Zealand played much better in the second match than the first fathoming SBNCS (off course on a better wicket) condition.
Bangladesh has to apply today and play out of their skin for winning today. Win today would wrap up the series and open opportunities for testing fringe players over the remaining two matches before finalizing the squad for ICC World Cup.
Match today presents milestones for Mahmudullah Riad and Shakib Al Hasan. Riad when he spins the coin today would be the first Bangladesh player playing 100 T20 international. He has opportunity to becoming the first Bangladeshi captain winning three consecutive series. On the other hand, if Shakib takes two wickets he will eclipse the record of Lasith Malinga as the highest wicket taker of T20 international.
I do not find any reason for changing the winning combination at this stage. There are some suggestions for resting Saifuddin to accommodate Taskin or Shariful. But would suggest trying all these in the 4th and 5th matches after wrapping up the series. Another aspect is to test Aminul, Shamim, Soumya and Rubel. Bangladesh would definitely benefit from inclusion of a leg spinner in the squad. Most of the major opponents in the world cup would have at least one quality leg spinner. Bangladesh cannot expect low, gripping and turning wicket in the world cup. Bangladesh should take an extra pace bowler preferably experienced Rubel in the squad. True white wash would have a different dimension. But this being the last opportunity before World we can even risk losing a match or two.
Even Mushfique keeps wicket in 4th match why not try Shamim in place of Sohan and rest Mustafiz and Saifuddin replacing with Shoriful and Rubel?
I believe keeping the nucleus of the team in tact rotating pacers in the 4th and the 5th match would assist Bangladesh in finalizing the squad for the world.
Finally expecting a clinical performance today, a score of 150 plus first or planning to chase that target while batting second.
