DHAKA: Visiting Bangladesh batsmen scored 173-run losing all wickets in their second innings of the second test against the New Zealand and set a target of 109-run at Hagley Oval, Christchurch on Monday (January 23).

Mahmudullah, Soumya Sarkar, Taskin Ahmed, Kamrul Islam Rabbi and Nazmul Hossain Shanto have scored 38, 36, 33, 25* and 12 runs respectively.

Trent Boult, Tim Southee and Neil Wagner picked up three wickets each while Colin de Grandhomme took one.

Earlier, host New Zealand resumed their batting with 260/7 on the fourth day morning as rain washed the third day of the test match.

Henry Nicholls played a responsible knock but fell short of two runs to reach his maiden century in test cricket. He, however, helped his team take a healthy lead of 65-run as the Kiwis scored 354-run in their first innings in response to Bangladesh’s 289-run.

Shakib Al Hasan picked up four wickets while Kamrul Islam Rabbi and Mehedi Hasan Miraz took two wickets each. Besides, Taskin Ahmed took one wicket.
