Zimbabwe beat Fiji by 7 wkts

DHAKA: Zimbabwe won by seven wickets against Fiji with 187 balls remaining in the eighth match of the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup at MA Aziz Stadium in Chittagong Friday.

Fiji U19s all out with 81 runs in 27.4 overs and made an 82-run target for Zimbabwe to win in 50 overs.

Chasing the poor target, Zimbabwe scored 84 runs for three in 18.5 overs.

B Sly and J Ives scored 29 and 23-run respectively for Zimbabwe.

W Madhevere’s five wickets and B Mavuta three wickets haul helped Zimbabwe to secure big win over Fiji.

Earlier, Fiji won the toss and elected to bat first in the Group C match that began at 9:00am.
