Afghans facing Kiwis’ attack

DHAKA: Debutant Afghanistan are facing favorite New Zealand bowling attacks in the teams’ ICC World Cup Pool A match at McLean Park in Napier on Sunday morning.

Afghanistan scored 146 runs for seven in 38.4 overs till filling this report.

Javed Ahmadi and Usman Ghani began the Afghan’s innings. Afghanistan began losing early wickets.

Nawroz Mangal contributed 27 off 46 balls. Najibullah Zadran scored 56 runs off 56 balls. He built his innings with seven fours and a pair of sixes.

Samiullah Shenwari and Dawlat Zadran are on the crease now with 35 and 1 runs respectively.
 
Earlier, Afghanistan captain Mohammad Nabi won the toss and decided to field. The match kicked off at 4:00am.
