DHAKA: South Africa (SA) beat Zimbabwe by 62-run in the third match of ICC World Cup-2015 match at Seddon Park in Hamilton of New Zealand on Sunday.

Chasing SA-set 340-run target, Zimbabwe lost all wickets to score 277 in 48.2 over.

Earlier, Zimbabwe captain Elton Chigumbura won the toss and sent South Africa into bat.

David Miller and JP Duminy hit pair of tons, propelling South Africa to score 339-run in stipulated 50-over.

Both Devid Miller scored dashingly 138 runs off 92 balls with nine sixes and seven fours. JP Duminy also hit century, contributing 115 runs off 100 balls.

Both made a record of 256-run partnership in the fifth wicket.

At the beginning of the match, Zimbabweans managed to keep Proteas batting under pressure as South Africa have scored 98 runs for four losses in 24 overs.

At that time, Zimbabwe made a collective effort. Tendai Chatara hit first, sending Q de Kock to the pavilions when South Africa’s scoreboard was at 10 runs only, followed by Tinashe Panyangara taking HM Amla’s wicket at 21 runs.

Elton Chigumbura send back F du Plessis. Tafadzwa Kamungozi followed Chigumbura, taking AB de Villiers’s wicket - the last wicket of South Africa’s innings.

Since then, Proteas lost no more wickets.

South Africa’s F du Plessis and AB de Villiers scored 24 and 25 runs respectively. JP Duminy and David Miller are on crease with 13 and 3 runs respectively.

JP Duminy said “(I) really enjoyed that been a long time since I last got three figures, so really enjoyed it. After 35 overs we felt we were in a decent enough position to go after them. It was definitely slower than we all predicted initially, but with wickets in hand, we could go after them.”

“I think the spinners will come into play, while mixing up the pace and length should also do the trick. Exceptional play from Miller, who just muscled it about all over the park,” he added.
