Proteas facing Zimbabwean bowlers

DHAKA: Favorite South Africa are facing Zimbabwe bowlers in the team’s first ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 Pool B matches at Seddon Park in Hamilton of New Zealand on Sunday.

Zimbabweans have managed to keep Proteas batting under pressure as South Africa have scored 98 runs for four losses in 24 overs till filling the report at 8:47am.

Zimbabwe made a collective effort. Tendai Chatara hit first, sending Q de Kock to the pavilions when South Africa’s scoreboard was at 10 runs only, followed by Tinashe Panyangara taking HM Amla’s wicket at 21 runs.

Elton Chigumbura send back F du Plessis. Tafadzwa Kamungozi followed Chigumbura, taking AB de Villiers’s wicket.

South Africa’s F du Plessis and AB de Villiers scored 24 and 25 runs respectively. JP Duminy and David Miller are on crease with 13 and 3 runs respectively.

Earlier, Zimbabwe captain Elton Chigumbura won the toss and sent South Africa into bat.
