Tamim hits century

DHAKA: Tamim Iqbal hit century while Shakib Al Hasan scored half century on Day-2 of 2nd Test against Zimbabwe in Khulna leading Bangladesh to 268 runs for 3-wkt Tuesday.

Earlier in the day, Tamim Iqbal and Shakib Al Hasan resumed batting in the first innings with 74 and 13 runs respectively at Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium.

On Monday, Tamim Iqbal’s 74 not out helped Bangladesh score 193 run for 3 after 90-over at stumps on Day-1 of the second Test against visiting Zimbabwe.

Before going back to the pavilion, Mahmudullah scored 56 runs and Mominul Haque 35.

Zimbabwean bowlers Panyangara bagged 2 wickets and Chigumbura got one.

Bangladesh captain Mushfiqur Rahim earlier won the toss and decided to bat first in the match of the Bashundhara Cement Test Series.

On October 27, Bangladesh won the first Test match by three wickets at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka.
