India beat Bangladesh by 47-run

DHAKA: In the rain-affected second One-Day International (ODI), India beat Bangladesh by 47-run (D/L method) at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Tuesday night.

Bangladesh managed to score 58-run losing all ten wickets in 17.4 overs while chasing India’s 105-run.

Start Binny took 6-wicket in 4.4 overs giving away only 4-run while M Sharma bagged four wickets.

Earlier, India scored 105-run losing all wickets in 25.3-over.

Debutant pacer Taskin Ahmed took five Indian wickets in his 8-over quota giving away only 28-run while Mashrafe Mortaza took two and Al-AMin and Shakib took one wicket each.

Earlier, the match resumed at 4:00pm. It was a 41-over a side match with a 30-minute innings break. 

The mandatory powerplay was 8-over long, and the batting powerplay lasted 4-over. One bowler had the option to bowl 9-over, and four could bowl eight each.

Earlier, heavy rain around 2:15pm stopped the match that begun at 1:00pm.

Before the rain, India scored 14 runs losing a wicket after 5.2 overs. 

Mashrafe Mortaza took the wicket of AM Rahane in the second ball of the match.

Bangladesh captain Mushfiqur Rahim won the toss and decided to field first. 

Stuart Binny was in for Parvez Rasool, for India. Two debutants for Bangladesh Mithun Ali was included for Mominul Haque, and Taskin Ahmed replaced Abdur Razzak. Mithun and Taskin were the 111th and 112th players to play ODIs for Bangladesh.
