Sri Lanka win World T20-2014 title

DHAKA: Sri Lanka has won the trophy of ICC World T20 beating India by six wickets in the final match of the tournament at Mirpur Shere Bangla Stadium, Dhaka Sunday.

Chasing 131-run target, set by India, Sri Lanka reached the target scoring 132-run in 17.5 over losing four wickets.

Earlier, India set a target of 131-run for Sri Lankan batsmen losing four wickets in their stipulated 20-over.

Virat Kohli scored 77-run while RG Sharma gathered 29-run.

KMDN Kulasekara, AD Mathews and HMRKB Herath took one wicket each.

In the rain delayed match, Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bowl first.

Due to rain, the match was kicked off at 7:40pm at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium of Mirpur.
