West Indies beat Pakistan

DHAKA: West Indies has defeated England by 84 runs in the 32nd match of T-20 world cup at Played at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur Tuesday night.

Chasing West Indies set 167-run target, Pak batsmen managed to score only 82 runs losing all wickets in the 17.5 overs.

Earlier, West Indies scored 166 for six wickets in stipulated overs.

In the batting storm session of Caribbeans, Chris Gayle was stumped on an off side delivery of Pakistani skipper Muhammad Hafeez. Later his partner Smith was caught behind on a Sohail Tanvir delivery. Gayle scored 5 runs while Smith only made 8 runs.

Then Samuels scored 20 runs by hitting 1 four and 1 six while Simmons hit 2 fours and 2 sixes to make 31 runs in total.

Dwayne Bravo gave a last impetus with a quick 46 runs off 26 runs with 2 fours and 4 sixes. He was dismissed in the last over when he ran after falling off a Sohail Tanvir delivery. He was run out off a quick throw.

Darren Sammy was another hero who scored an unbeaten 42 from just 20 balls.

Earlier, West Indies won the toss and elected to bat first.
