Sri Lanka chasing 204-run

DHAKA: After losing their first three matches, hosts Bangladesh set a target of 205-run for Sri Lanka batsmen in a bid to finish the tournament with at least one victory on Thursday afternoon.

While chasing Tigers’ set 204-run, Lankan batsmen scored 6-run loosing 2-wicket after 3-over of their innings.

Mahela Jayawardene and Lahiru Thirimanne are on the crease with 0 and 4 runs respectively.

Al Amin Hossain took two Lanka wickets.

Earlier, Bangladesh scored 204 runs for nine wickets in their 50-over in the last round-robin fixture in the Asia Cup at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.

Opener Anamul Haque scored 49 runs while Nasir Hossain and Mahmudullah scored 30 runs each.

RAS Lakmal, NLTC Perera, BAW Mendis and SMA Priyanjan took two wickets each while PC de Silva took one wicket.         

Earlier, Bangladesh captain won the toss and elected to bat first.

The day/night match kicked-off at 2:00pm.
